**Description** **Job Title: Transmission Line Engineer** Asplundh Engineering Services has an immediate opening for an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to join our team. This is a remote opportunity. **Essential Functions & Responsibilities:** + Develop PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models for new and existing transmission line designs and analyses, PLS-TOWER experience is not required but would be a plus + Attend and complete site visits for line inventory, hard spot identification, and construction coordination + Generate existing line studies, new project estimates, material and pole orders, construction bid specifications and drawings, and as-built closeout documents + Coordinate with construction, environmental, real estate, and permitting representatives as well as geotechnical engineering services; foundation design experience would be a bonus + Meet with our clients and partners on a frequent basis to share and expand our relationships + Advise, review, and perform quality control on work performed by others + Assist in the preparation of proposals including cost estimates, description of project approach, and scheduling + Learn from and contribute to other Power Delivery groups including civil/structural, distribution, and substation **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering + Competency in the use of PLS CADD software + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as a proven commitment to safety and customer service + Must possess a valid driver’s license, have access to a car, and be comfortable entering transmission line ROWs and line construction sites with proper training and PPE + Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check and drug screen **Education & Experience** + Minimum of 3 years of experience in Transmission Line Design + Proficiency with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows, drafting software skills are an additional plus + Professional Engineering license or E.I.T. strongly preferred + Strong PLS-CADD experience required **Benefits** We offer a competitive benefits package that provides a foundation of support for the health, safety, and security of you and your family.
