Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to oversee the transloading of material from railcar to truck using facility equipment which includes both stationary and mobile conveyors and other loading equipment.
Load trucks from railcars in yard using mobile equipment (transloaders)Communicate with drivers, the transloading team, and the corporate office about matters relating to the site and overall dataTroubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problemsEnter and maintain inventory and activity data into the appropriate systemPrepare and forward reports to corporate office, as needed and/or requestedEnsure office equipment is properly maintained and servicedIdentify and source parts, supplies and repair items, as necessaryReceive and inventory any incoming parts and/or supplies; coordinate packing slips with purchase ordersPerform duties safely and responsibly while always observing all safety and health rulesComplete pre-shift inspections and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and interface with relief operator for any updates, instructions, and changesProactively maintain good housekeeping practices and preventive maintenance practices on equipment including but not limited to daily inspections, greasing, cleaning, etc.Participate in general training, job specific training and hazardous materials training as required; successfully complete written examinationsModel behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Complete other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredValid Class A CDL driver’s license with clean driving record required1-year experience with transload or material handling operation (bulk carrier or railroad) requiredSpecialized Knowledge
