What Engineering Program/Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Provide advanced engineering expertise in support of a broad scope of activities in a medical device manufacturing environment. Function as technical lead and adviser for developing, implementing, and improving production systems related to different type of materials processing and assembly. Interface with R&D on product introductions and improvements, from concept to launch. Recommend, plan, and execute projects requiring extensive manufacturing or specific technical expertise. Lead cross-functional teams on key plant initiatives.
Responsibilities
Communicate and coordinate project activities with multiple functional groups.
Specify, procure, install, and debug production machinery or processes.
Serve as team lead for the plant on product launch and improvement initiatives.
Create, modify, and approve production procedures and other documentation within the appropriate change control system.
Formulate and execute experiments, test plans, and validation activities. Collect and analyze data. Generate protocols and reports.
Assist with selection and qualification of new materials and suppliers.
Provide insightful technical advice, leadership, and expertise on advanced quality improvement and cost reduction projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Eng. Materials Eng, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device manufacturing or in a highly regulated industry.
Advanced verbal and written English
Six Sigma Tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Minitab, Project Management, Presentations, and demonstrated leadership on projects of broad scope.
GMPS and process validation experience.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, candidate must have the ability to work independently and be able to communicate effectively with team members.
Dealing with ambiguity, creativity, customer focus, timely decision making, decision quality, function/technical skills, innovation management, intellectual horsepower, learning on the fly, listening, managing and measuring work, organizing, perseverance, planning, presentation skills, priority setting, managing through systems, technical learning, total work systems (lean/six sigma), and written communications.
