ROLE OVERVIEW

The Payments Product Manager role is responsible for defining and implementing the Payments Product business strategy. Working closely with all Transaction Banking teams including Operations, Engineering and Coverage to implement and manage core payment rails and develop innovative new payment solutions to meet client needs. The role requires a deep understanding of Corporate payments and payment rails integration including cross border/cross currency solutions as well as connectivity and integration solutions for corporate ERP and Treasury Workstations. Understanding of client challenges/opportunities and industry trends will be required as inputs into the Payments strategic product roadmap.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute against payments product strategy and Transaction Banking’s high growth objectivesEnd-to-end product management support for UK and European payments teamDrive commercialization objectives through partnership across product, coverage, operations, and serviceWork directly with Transaction Banking Coverage teams and Clients to understand their needs and assist with solution design and implementationDevelop and nurture collaborative working relationships with key internal partners including business teams, various product teams, and enterprise technology organizations

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Experience in one or more of the following payment rails; SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, TARGET2, and cross-border cross currenciesExcellent organizational, time management and planning skills with a track record of balancing multiple initiatives across ad hoc and project-based activities Mission Driven: Must be a strong believer in the team and mission Inclusive Culture: Considerate to the cultural differences of team Forward thinking: Anticipation of organizational needs for efficiency Ability to generate ideas, identify and drive the development of new business

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of Treasury/Cash Management product management/development or engineering/operations experience, with a focus on end-to-end payments process including cross-border, cross-currency solutionsExperience in one or more of the following payment rails; SWIFT, FPS, CHAPS, BACS, SEPA, SEPA Instant, TARGET2, and cross-border cross currenciesExperience in JIRA to define epics, stories and test cases for new requirements. Ability to execute test casesExperience working with Engineering teams to implement new payment rails and solutionsTrack record of supporting coverage with client needs identification, solution recommendations, RfP responses and pricingSupport coverage in delivering product demos and best and final solution presentations (over phone or in-person)Provide training and support to client service, operations and coverage and business partners on new payments product capabilitiesContribute input into marketing strategy and communications plans

 Preferred Qualifications:

Hands on experience of agile development in a Product Owner role including writing epics, stories and test casesKnowledge of cash management services and products including collections, payments, account structures, liquidity management, and virtual accountsStrong payments industry knowledge; consultative background around complex solutionsTechnical expertise and experience of ISO 20022 and SWIFT standards across payments and cash management domainsExperience of ownership and completion of UAT testing of payments systemsAbility to understand and articulate customer needs and turn requirements into actionable solutionsAbility to mobilize internal networks and resourcesStrong working relationships with clients, colleagues and cross-functional partnersDesirable to have Channels products knowledge including; internet, host-host, API, SWIFT and mobile channelsDesirable to have working knowledge of key ERP (AP, AR and Treasury) functions and Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
