Summary:
A Training Specialist is responsible for delivering training programs and initiatives, supporting colleagues’ growth and development. They play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within Huntington.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Support or facilitate segment and colleague development solutions catalog per line of business expectationsObtain appropriate vendor (Franklin Covey, Ken Blanchard, Mind Gym, Crucial Learning) in addition to applicable in house facilitation/L&D certifications.Build rapport and interface with colleagues and front-line and regional leadersWorking knowledge of other aspects of L&D including instructional design and consultationKey contact for segment leaders and/or development vendorsAbility to engage audiences in a variety of settings: virtually, in-person, and/or hybridManage session preparation, follow-up and logistics, as appropriateMaintain up to date knowledge of segment (ex: operations, technology, products etc) and enterprise business strategies and priorities to provide effective trainingAbility to tailor development solutions to audience and coach in the momentAbility to agilely flex between a variety of audiences and development content in any given week.Talent, segment and HR project work, as assignedExcellent written and verbal communicationsLead for key facilitation, delivery, colleague experience pieces of work (LD/CD communications, facilitation scheduling, T3, consultation etc.)Key contributor to process improvement and innovation in facilitation and/or design spaceProvide feedback to content owners, represent leader and colleague development interests on project teams, and recommend development approaches as neededEstablish and maintain partnerships with internal/external partners and key stakeholdersSupport corporate initiatives, as neededBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience1 year of public speaking experience and/orMinimum of 3 year of experience in delivery of training programsPreferred Qualifications:
Banking or Finance experience preferredAdvanced communication and presentation skillsProficiency with MS Office ApplicationsPropensity to demonstrate an advanced level of professionalismCapacity to stand for long periods of time to facilitate content on consecutive daysAbility and willingness to travel regularly, locally and overnight as well as throughout the Huntington footprint as needed#LI-Onsite
