The Training Specialist is responsible for delivering high quality programs that ensure Datavant has the skills to meet its current and future needs. + As a professional trainer you are, of course, open to continuous self-improvement. + You will utilize your professional presentation skills and passion to create an engaging and compelling learning experience, whether live or recorded, for any internal or external audience. + It is imperative that you have the interpersonal skills to become a trusted partner and resource to internal and external customers. + You must be able to work across organizations to develop long lasting relationships with your internal customers. + You utilize the tools we provide you to provide solutions to multiple learning styles. + You are willing and able to deliver technical content in an engaging and accessible way; you leverage your training and cooperative work skills, to collaborate with Ciox platform trainers to design, develop and deliver cross-platform trainings. + You are driven to constantly master new topics and are open to new challenges. + You are goal-driven and are not afraid of success. **What You Will Do:** + Work collaboratively with department, subject-matter experts, to assess learning needs and partners to design, develop, evaluate, and implement effective learning solutions that are role- and task-based. + Conducts and manages virtual new hire, training program. + Liaising with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions. + Facilitate and delivers interactive training sessions to build knowledge and skills that transfer the application of learning to the work environment through various methods. + Adhere to the Facilitator Guidelines to ensure course standards are met and all training sessions align with organizational objectives. + Be prepared to effectively manage class activities; class set up, training account set up, facility appearance, training materials and supplies. + Supports all training initiatives and special projects under the direction of the Training Manager/Supervisor. + Communicates and conducts business in a professional and courteous manner. + Assess trainee progress and evaluate effectiveness of Training. + Ability to adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner. + Communicates with Manager on an on-going basis, providing information and data as requested. + Adheres to the Company’s Code of Conduct and business standards. + Works within scope of the position and is available to take on additional assignments as determined by the Training Manager/Supervisor to meet business needs. + Effectively incorporate new methods of learning, instructional techniques, and instructional technologies to develop new, exciting, and compelling learning solutions. + Continually improve your presentation skillsets and provide peer-review sessions. + Continually drive yourself to learn and deliver new subjects to internal Learners. + Meet deadlines consistently in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments occurring simultaneously. + Work closely with internal customers to identify the training needs and develop on the job support tools. + Work closely with the Instructional Designers to design materials, quizzes and meaningful interactive activities to increase learning and retention. + Work with assigned staff, SME, and others to ensure draft and final versions of material are managed effectively and uploaded into the LMS or SharePoint site. + Coordinate the feedback process with SME and the Learning and Development team to allow utilization of feedback to be integrated into the final version of courses. + Proof courses as needed and keep up to date with changes. + Define timely project schedules and manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define new courses, goals, and directions for team’s ongoing course development. + Keep up to date on e-learning tools, trends, and ideas. + Additional duties as assigned. **What You Need to Succeed:** + 5+ years of experience facilitating adult learning, preferably leading and training Enterprise-wide programs. + Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred (Instructional Design, English, Educational Technology).· + Background in health information and/or IT a plus. + Demonstrated knowledge of key instructional design concepts, practices, and learning principles. + Skilled in developing instructor-led, web-based, and blended learning solutions. + Experience developing course content in a variety of formats. + Ability to produce clearly written learning materials and articulate key concepts in a clear manner. + Knowledge/experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS). + Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite. + Strong written and oral communication skills. + Ability to consult with Management and lead Subject Matter Experts. + Ability to work independently with little oversight once the work is assigned. + Ability to use computers and software at a proficient level. + Ability to travel, including international travel, up to 20%.
