As a new Training Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you can expect a dynamic and engaging work environment where your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around enhancing employee capabilities through innovative training programs. Each day, you will plan, execute, and evaluate training sessions designed to address the specific needs of our teams and improve customer service skills. Your schedule will typically run Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, providing consistency while allowing for flexibility. In this role, you should anticipate local and occasional overnight travel to various branch locations, where you'll facilitate workshops and hands-on training sessions.\n

Collaboration with department heads to identify training needs will also be a key component of your role. This varied schedule ensures you will always be challenged and involved in making a meaningful difference within the organization.\n

TRAINING SPECIALIST: DAILY DUTIES\n

The Training Specialist coordinates, develops and conducts training for Bank employees. Interacts with various employees and departments to understand and address training needs as they arise. \n\nImplements and coordinates new hire training to effectively train new branch employees. \nImplements and coordinates Desk (New Accounts) training to effectively train branch staff in successfully opening new accounts.\nProactively updates training manuals and incorporates changes into training as appropriate.\nCoordinate and develops Sponsor Trainers\nProvide follow up and on-going support to employees post training classes\nWorks with Engagement and Learning Director, Supervisors, Department Heads and Human Resources to refresh existing content, as well as grow the training catalog\nUpdates and maintains communications on Navigator and Integrated Teller Test banks \nAssists in updating Bank procedures as necessary.\nAssists in the implementation of the sales training program to assist in developing sales behaviors of the front-line branch staff and other employees as deemed necessary.\nDevelop, update, and deliver training as needed to ensure appropriate training is offered throughout the Bank footprint\nTravel for training and meetings is required. Overnight commitments may be a possibility depending on location and duration\nAssists various internal departments with training projects as needed\nComply with all laws, regulations, bank policies, and procedures.\nComplete all required training on time.\nOther job functions may be determined and required from time to time.\n\nDoes this sound like you?\n
