Overview: We are currently seeking a Training Specialist to support our client in Newport News, VA. There are currently 4 openings available. Additional titles such as Instructional Designer, Learning and Development Specialist, Training Manager, and Learning Manager align with this type of opportunity. Description: + Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. + Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. + Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. + Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. + May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. + May be responsible for development of e-learning programs. Qualifications: + BS Degree. + 6 years of relevant experience. + Experience teaching in both face to face and online environments. + Familiarity with instructional and course management technology as well as course design. Additional Information: + 4 openings available. + Long term, multi year contracts. + 1st shift, Monday-Friday. + Pay Rate: $30-$44/hr based on experience. + Benefits offered.
