Our Shockwave Medical portfolio aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque. **Position Overview** Partner with Manufacturing to develop and sustain a well-trained and flexible workforce through hands-on training, mentoring, and formal certification. Maintain accurate manufacturing and training documentation to ensure the effectiveness of the training process. **Essential Job Functions** + Executes quarterly training plans based on input from Production and Lead Trainer. + Conducts training, mentoring and formal certification of production operators in accordance with Shockwave Medical Training WI’s and Manufacturing Process Instructions. + Assess operator skills and provides feedback to the Lead Trainer. + Assist operators with Continuous Improvement support based on approved Green Card suggestions. + Performs weekly and monthly Standard Work Audits (5S and LPA). + Solicits feedback from production operators and manufacturing technicians and/or engineers to identify areas for improvement in the training process. + Accurately completes manufacturing documentation, initiate reports, escalate quality issues, reports efficiency, and records measurements as required. + Identifies gaps in production coverage and defines a plan to close the gaps. + Updates/red-line MPIs using PowerPoint/Excel/Word as required. + Presents instructor-led courses in the areas of manufacturing skills and processes, quality system/GMP practices and requirements, information technology tools, and other subjects as required. **Requirements** + Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. + Preferred twelve (12) months of experience in IVL product manufacturing. + Internal requirement: Trained/certified to at least 1 full assembly line on more than one product within Santa Clara IVL manufacturing, and a SME trainer. + Demonstrates exceptional work performance in attendance, quality, and other applicable work standards. + Exhibits excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal). + Displays leadership, independence, and solid teamwork skills. + Offers ideas based on observations, experience and job knowledge that improve training, work content and overall efficiency. + Demonstrates a basic understanding of the following: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Shockwave Medical quality system requirements. + Knowledge of and compliance with applicable Quality System requirements such as QSRs, FDA, ISO, MDD and other applicable regulations, and good manufacturing practices (GMP). + Experience working with a clean room environment, and application of environmental procedures + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly provide work direction, communicate with support staff and present recommendations and ideas and to build consensus. **Additional Information:** + The anticipated base pay for this position is $56,350-$89,930 annually. + The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year.
