Position Summary:Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. as a Training Specialist based in Manila, Philippines, and be a part of our world-class team! This outstanding opportunity is passionate about preparing both the Global Business Services (GBS) and the retained organization in terms of training needs and delivery of required training. As a Training Specialist, we develop role-specific Learning Needs Analysis, training curriculum, schedules, and supporting documentation to showcase training status. This often involves managing these activities across a series of waves, spanning multiple divisions and functions.
You will help the GBS organization start up efficiently with a positive culture.
The scope of the role includes transitioning new activities/processes into GBS and ongoing training for colleagues within our GBS centers. This encompasses functional and role-specific learning needs analysis, curriculum development, training scheduling, and delivery across multiple sites, functions, and projects/programs.
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with SMEs to identify and detail training needs for roles moving to GBS centers.Develop and implement training schedules, ensuring all training content and sessions are delivered as planned by the content owners and trainers.Ensure detailed documentation of learning needs, training curriculum, training schedules, and training status at individual, team, and overall levels.Follow up with trainees to ensure training schedules/plans remain on track and that the curriculum reflects current status.Identify and coordinate existing training resources for learning needs analysis and training delivery.Lead training satisfaction and post-training assessment surveys by working with SMEs to define survey questions and handling the execution, reporting, and follow-up of results.Support training content creation where required.Ideally, support some training delivery.Primarily focus on training activities transitioning to the GBS shared service centers while also supporting training activities for shared service center operations improvement or implementation projects.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5-6 years training experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in delivering learning needs analysis and training programs.A passion for learning and development.Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in developing precise and clear documentation.Ability to work within project timelines, taking ownership of responsible activities.Proficiency in English (verbal and written); other languages are a plus.GBS or shared services experience is a plus.Proven success in building collaborative partner relationships with a diverse range of internal customers.Ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects and timescales simultaneously in a global shared services environment.Capable of handling confidential information strictly and with integrity.
