Position Overview

Responsible for the implementation of all training programs within the SubCom Cable Systems (SCS) Manufacturing organization. The Training Program Coordinator will complete tasks to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training content for a multi-cultural/ multi-lingual manufacturing facility to establish initial competency and maintain proficiency for employees to safely, and with first-time quality, manufacture undersea fiber optic cable systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop/administer company compliance and manufacturing department specific training and certifications using on-the-job training (OJT), virtual classroom, instructor-led, and e-learning methods. Support non-standard business hours for 4 x 4 day and night shifts. Develop/administer department personnel training and onboarding/orientation plans. Develop training processes, procedures, curricula, and training content to maintain compliance with Federal, State, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and Regulatory requirements. Develop and track status of curricula, qualification, and certification structure and content utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS). Perform training effectiveness assessments of companywide training programs to ensure departmental needs are met and to drive continuous improvement of all associated training materials. Perform assessments of companywide training programs to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements. Perform curricula and training content restructuring to increase overall training effectiveness. Ensure training records and documentation are completed timely and accurately. Participate in Discipline Training Committees. Act as Site Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator. Develop and implement cross-training for personnel in support of company employee retention and succession planning. Develop Crew Training Briefs to capture organizational lessons learned. Attend educational conferences as needed to support company initiatives. Other duties as assigned.
