CACI is currently looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Training Manager with Agile methodology experience to join our Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Land Border Integration (LBI) Integrated Traveler Initiative II.I (ITI2.1) team in Northern Virginia! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals supporting the best practices in Agile Software Development and hardware integration for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
As a member of the ITI2.1 Team, you will support the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. CBP Officers and Border Patrol agents are on the front lines, every day, protecting our national security by combining customs, immigration, border security, and agricultural protection into one coordinated and supportive activity.

The Training Manager develops and oversees training manuals and deliverables
What you’ll get to do:
Develop and maintain training materials for each ITI2.1 system including system overview, step by step troubleshooting procedures, and recommended maintenance actions.
Generate iterative updates to product user manuals, including graphics, formatting, editing, and the deployment of all material to production
Ensure that training materials and programs are current, accurate, descriptive, and tailored for site-specific requirements and constraints.
Develop materials that adhere to best practice regarding document structure and logic flow. Excellent written and oral communications skills; must be able to interface effectively with SMEs and managers of all levels
Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
Identifies problems and opportunities for improving remote training.
Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
You have:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, criteria includes, but not limited to:
3-year check for felony convictions
1-year check for illegal drug use
1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
Seven years of demonstrated experience
College degree (B.A.; B.S.) in Communications or related discipline
Must be available to work a hybrid schedule with an on-site requirement in Sterling, VA
You are good at:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
Expert in Microsoft Word, including template design
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe FrameMaker or InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop
Knowledge of document and repository management practices
Thorough understanding of training processes.
Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
Strong attention to detail and collaboration skills
Strong contextual understanding of technical terminology
Bonus would be having:
Ability to apply advanced training principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative training principles and ideas
Experience relating to engineering and maintenance drawings and/or operational procedures to include the knowledge and ability to interpret, absorb, and synthesize large quantities of computer system and application-related information
Understanding of all elements of the software development life cycle, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
Experience editing technical documentation in an Agile Scrum environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:
