CEIS | Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Learning Specialist to support formal qualification and certification programs at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). This role will support the Facility and Training Compliance Group (WMS-2) under the ALDWP and is central to ensuring training and personnel qualification programs meet operational, regulatory, and mission-driven standards in nuclear facilities.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and effectiveness of national security programs by delivering high-impact training to mission-critical personnel such as Fissile Material Handlers, Criticality Safety Officers, and Glovebox Operators.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain qualification and certification programs for critical nuclear facility roles.
Develop, implement, and manage classroom, on-the-job, and web-based training materials in alignment with DOE O 426.2 and LANL training standards.
Ensure training content and records are developed and maintained in accordance with systematic training methodologies (SAT).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies to ensure programs meet mission and compliance requirements.
Use the UTrain Learning Management System daily to track training progress, develop new programs, and generate tailored reports.
Participate in knowledge capture initiatives to preserve operational expertise.
Schedule, prioritize, and coordinate training activities to support readiness, compliance, and mission execution.
Maintain and manage training documents with attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory integrity.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field, and 4+ years of experience in instructional systems development, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven application of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methods, including course development, evaluation, and implementation.
Experience designing and delivering performance-based training for technical or nuclear facility environments.
Demonstrated skill in documentation, planning, scheduling, and tracking training deliverables.
Ability to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential training records.
Familiarity with document control processes, safety/security protocols, and classified information management.
Desired QualificationsTSQP-qualified or ability to become TSQP-qualified.
Previous experience supporting ALDWP or nuclear manufacturing operations.
Subject matter knowledge in radiation protection, MC&A, criticality safety, glovebox operations, or related nuclear facility disciplines.
Familiarity with AP-01000 and formal document preparation protocols.
Active DOE Q clearance and/or Human Reliability Program (HRP) certification strongly preferred.
