We are looking for a Customer Services NAM Mobility Training Academy Intern. This position will be based at our New Castle branch located in Delaware. 

During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the NAM Mobility Training Academy where you will gain hands-on experience in creating and managing high-quality training programs. You will learn about learning content creation, learning technology, marketing of training, project/program support. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, develop instructional materials, and support various training initiatives. This experience will provide valuable insights into the field of training and development, helping the intern build a strong foundation for their future career.

A little bit about us

Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

Our Training and Development Department is essential to ensure that both our employees and customers have the knowledge and skills they need to succeed and grow in their careers. Internally, we enhance our service teams' capabilities through comprehensive training programs, enabling them to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Externally, we provide tailored training solutions to help customers effectively use our products and services. 

What your day-to-day will look like:

Collaborate with team members on developing and editing training materials. Assist in organizing and cataloging training resources and documentation. Participate in shadow sessions to understand learning methodologies. Support the creation of computer-based training (CBT) modules, videos and job aids. Contribute to curriculum documentation for various training programs. Help compile and analyze training feedback data. Develop communication materials for training initiatives. Assist in creating facilitator and user guides and quick-reference materials. Engage in project coordination and support various training initiatives. Conduct research on learning best practices and emerging trends in training and development. Work on a small capstone project and contribute to the internal knowledge base – to be determined collaboratively with the intern and in alignment with their scholastic focus and level of experience.

Who Should Apply? 

Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Education, Learning Technology, Marketing, Communications, Liberal Arts, Business, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development.Availability: 40 hours per week from June to AugustWork Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorizationPrior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0Meets the critical capabilities listed above. Knowledge of rail industry is a plus but not required.

You’ll Benefit From The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
 Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
