The Office of Grants Management (https://mn.gov/admin/government/grants/) (OGM) works in partnership with more than 30 Executive Branch grant making agencies, boards, commissions, etc., to standardize, streamline, and improve state grant management practices and increase public information about state grant opportunities. We are seeking a Training and Communications Specialist to support OGM's efforts toward building the knowledge base and capabilities of state staff engaged in administration of state grant investments. In this newly created position, you will support planning, delivery, and evaluation of OGM's training, reporting, and communication activities that impact all state grant making agencies, political leaders, state grantees and applicants, and the wider public. This position will develop and maintain OGM's website, analyze and compile grants data from agencies, and support the grantee performance evaluation data system and users of the system. This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework agreement, onsite attendance will be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Please review the Telework Policy (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework-2025.pdf) for details. **Minimum Qualifications** The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position. + Two (2) years of experience supporting a training program, including conducting needs assessments, managing training and/or event registrations, delivering training content, analyzing feedback, and/or reporting on key metrics. + Experience synthesizing, organizing, and customizing data into reports based on purpose, audience, and requirements. + Basic knowledge of grants life cycle activities. + Skilled in using technology, including Microsoft 365 applications, to develop trainings and/or reports. + Effective communication skills to write, edit, proofread and clearly communicate complex information to a wide and varied audience. + Interpersonal and human relations skills to collaborate with others. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in government-based grant management and grant compliance (state, federal, municipal, and/or tribal). + Basic knowledge of OGM's grants management policies. + Knowledge of website design and best practices. + Experience using Tridion. + Experience with Articulate 360. + Knowledge of accessibility concepts, standards, and accommodations for learners. + Experience working with culturally diverse groups and organizations. **Additional Requirements** Successful applicants must pass a criminal background check through American DataBank and employment reference checks (where applicable) prior to employment.
