ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Devise technical training programs according to organizational requirements.Produce training schedules and classroom agenda.Determine course content according to objectives.Prepare training material (presentations, worksheets etc.)Execute training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually.Arrange for and conduct on-site training when needed.Keep and report data on completed courses, absences, issues etc.Observe and evaluate results of training programs.Determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.Perform other duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree (engineering or business a plus) or equivalent experience in relevant industry.3-5 years’ experience in the automated material handling industry or related industrial businesses.Ability to travel when required and a minimum of 60%.Proven experience as technical trainer 1.Experience in designing technical course content.Degree in a relevant technical field.Certification such as PMMI (Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute) or CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer) is a strong asset.SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Possess or obtain intimate knowledge of products, services, distribution, customers, and competitors.Have a basic understanding of Ladder Logic programming.Strong self and social confidence and tenacity; polished & persuasive communicator and presenter.Solid written and verbal communication skills combined with executive presence.Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools in technical subjects.Ability to address training needs with complete courses.Working knowledge in MS Office (specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).Outstanding communication skills and comfortable speaking to crowds.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Ability to train other Trainers on equipment they are not familiar with.WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on customer job sites that may be still under construction. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. This role also uses standard tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, power tools, etc. and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats, safety shoes, safety vest, etc.
TRAVEL: At least 60% of travel will be required for this position.
