Our Perfumery plant in Geneva is looking for a:

Trainee in Quality & Environmental Safety

 

For a 6 months assignment starting ideally as of September 2025.

 

As part of the continuous improvement of our cleaning and quality practices, our site is looking to replace or optimize the use of ethanol for equipment cleaning. The objective is to ensure safe, efficient, and GMP-compliant procedures, while maintaining high product quality standards.

 

This internship aims to establish and validate a cleaning protocol that ensures GMP compliance and product quality, while reducing safety risks, limiting operator exposure, and integrating an environmentally responsible approach (e.g. solvent reduction, waste management).

You will work closely with cross-functional teams (Quality, HSE, Production, QC Laboratory) and participate in real-life testing and risk-based assessments.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Map the current cleaning process and practices on the shopfloorAssess cleaning effectiveness and associated quality risks (e.g. residues, cross-contamination)Evaluate safety and environmental risks (flammability, ATEX, emissions, waste)Benchmark and test alternative cleaning methodsDraft and test alternative cleaning protocols in line with GMP requirementsDocument cleaning validation results and present findings to key stakeholdersSupport the QSHE in any other topics

 

Pre-requisites

Only students enrolled at a fully accredited  MSc degree program with an internship agreement are welcome to applyOnly students who are Swiss, European or with a B Permit are welcome to apply

 

Profile:

Master student in QHSE, Process Engineering, Chemical, Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, Food, or Fragrance industryStrong interest in working on the shop floor in industrial environments, with a focus on quality validation, safety, and environmental topicsKnowledge of cleaning validation and risk assessment methods (e.g. HACCP, AZOP, FMEA)Good understanding of GMP standardsRigorous with an analytical mindset and strong observation skillsProficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio; familiarity with tools like Power BI, MATLAB, or similar is a plusFluent in French; professional English is an asset
