Job Description

We are currently hiring fresh Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Mechanical Engineering graduates (with computer science), to fill vacancies for fresher’s induction program.

The role includes all technical challenges associated with analysing, maintaining product data, designing & developing or testing of software to meet business and internal stakeholder needs of Herman Miller. The role will be based out of our Bangalore office in India.

This role transcends departmental and geographical boundaries as it aims at supporting and enabling the various divisions of the Herman Miller business across the globe. 

The essential attributes of potential candidates should be:

Academics

Graduation in BE / BSc (Computer Science) / BCA / MCA / B.Tech

Technical

Should have had formal education in one or more computer skills along with strong OOPS fundamentalsCourses / Training on latest technology tools will be a plus (Example: BI, reporting, Microsoft .NET etc)Any internship experience in software development will be an advantage

Personality

Excellent written and spoken English language skills with clarity of thought in articulation -Very importantPassion to develop technology solutions (can be demonstrated through project work done in academics)Analytical thought process and willingness to discuss and debate on matters where they may have a difference of opinionWilling to learn new technologies and apply those on the jobWillingness to work in the UK shift from 12 PM to 9 PMAbility to work individually or within a team environmentAbility to participate in multiple projects, tasks, and priorities in a healthy work environmentHas attention to detail and a penchant for qualityAbility to take direction, constructive criticism, and work to specified deadlinesAdhere to process and procedures defined for the role, the team and the organization

Process

The chosen candidates will be assigned to various teams, projects, processes from time to time over a period of 2-4 months to learn and apply their skills on tasks that will demonstrate their strength areas. Once an individual’s potential has been clearly established, he/she may be assigned to a live project team as a permanent member.

Hiring process will consist of written / computer-based test and atleast 2 rounds of personal interview.
