Your Role – Impactful, Meaningful And Future-Oriented
The Trainborne Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineer will be responsible for executing all testing and commissioning activities related to the signalling trainborne equipment of newly manufactured trains for CBTC projects. This role involves performing both static and dynamic tests, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the signalling equipment complies with project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements before handover to the client. The engineer will also support system-level tests for the commissioning of new lines, assisting the wider T&C team as required during integration and final acceptance phases.
Plan, prepare, and execute static and dynamic testing activities for the signalling subsystems on board trains, including ATP, ATO, TDMS and other trainborne systems. Ensure all testing is conducted in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and test procedures. Collaborate with the design, installation, and system integration teams to verify and validate trainborne equipment performance. Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during the testing and commissioning phase. Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, records, and documentation for submission to clients and project stakeholders. Participate in system-level testing and commissioning activities for new lines, supporting other T&C teams when required. Provide technical feedback to the engineering and design teams for any identified non-conformities or improvement needs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and LTA project standards during all phases of testing and commissioning.Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Railway Signalling, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline. 2–5 years of experience in testing and commissioning of trainborne signalling systems, preferably in CBTC projects. Hands-on experience with static and dynamic testing for trainborne systems. Familiarity with Siemens CBTC technologies is an advantage. Strong understanding of signalling principles, trainborne systems, and integration processes. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues effectively. Excellent communication and reporting skills for coordination with stakeholders. Good knowledge of safety procedures and standards in the rail environment. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight project schedules. Willingness to work night shifts and weekends during dynamic testing and line integration phases as required by project schedules. Site-based role with occasional office work for planning and reporting activities.What We Offer
