ĹŚnin Staffing is seeking a dependable and motivated Technician Aid to join a growing team in Birmingham. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone eager to build a hands-on career in diesel repair and fleet maintenance.
What You’ll Do:Assist diesel technicians with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and diesel enginesPerform basic maintenance tasks like oil changes, fluid checks, tire changes, tarp repairs, and brake inspectionsHelp troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under technician supervisionKeep tools and the shop area clean and organizedRetrieve and prepare parts for ongoing repairs and installationsFollow all safety protocols while operating tools and equipmentDocument repair activities as directedAssist with loading/unloading trucks when neededLearn diesel engine systems through on-the-job training
Work Experience
Qualifications & Skills:High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferredBasic knowledge of mechanical tools and automotive repairAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditionsStrong attention to detail and willingness to learnExcellent teamwork and communication skillsValid driver's license (CDL is a plus, but not required)Previous experience in an automotive or trucking shop is a plus, but not required
