It's all here and it’s exactly what _going further_ is all about. **Position Summary** Collaborates with business partners to learn skills required to maintain, repair, and overhaul trailers and equipment. **Major Tasks and Responsibilities** + Repairs and maintains systems and parts associated with class 6,7, and 8 diesel-powered tractors, trailers, and forklifts. + Diagnosis failures and makes repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other vehicles. + Operates and uses specialized equipment + Uses hydraulic jacks to lift heavy trucks and cars to perform maintenance work underneath the vehicles. + Troubleshoots and repairs heavy truck engines, braking, electrical, cooling, and exhausting systems. + Assists in maintaining accurate records of repairs, schedules, and parts inventory. + Follows safety protocols and procedures when handling heavy equipment. **Preferred Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + Working knowledge of hand tool repairs on class 6,7, and 8 trucks.
