Traffic/Shipping/Logistics Manager

Job Location: Dallas, TX 

Essential Duties:  

Warehouse Operations & Safety 

Supervise daily warehouse activities to ensure accurate storage, retrieval, and shipping of goods.  Oversee the organization and upkeep of warehouse facilities and equipment.  Enforce and maintain all company safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.

Inventory Management 

Coordinate with the procurement and QC team to manage incoming shipments and ensure proper storage.  Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels.  Monitor inventory levels, perform regular audits, and collaborate with purchasing on replenishment.  Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. 

Distribution & Logistics 

Plan and oversee the distribution process to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.  Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize routes and delivery schedules.  Monitor distribution performance and implement improvements to drive efficiency.  Resolve any issues related to delivery delays, damages, or inventory discrepancies. 

Leadership & Team Development 

Lead, train, and develop a high-performing team of warehouse, inventory, and shipping staff.  Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching and feedback.  Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. 

Qualification & Skills:  

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and/or distribution.  Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.  Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.  Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.  Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies preferred. 

Working Conditions and Hazards:  

Some work in physical plant environment where plant orientation may be required, and safety precautions are required.  May encounter some unpleasant working conditions of brief duration.   Little to no contact with hazardous conditions.
