FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

WTTG/WDCA – Traffic Coordinator (Regular Full-Time)

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Traffic Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As part of Fox Corporation and Fox Television Stations, we are renowned for delivering the most hours of original programming in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia local television market. Our newsroom provides comprehensive coverage of local and national news stories across multiple platforms such as broadcast, digital, and web. Primary responsibilities include:

Create and manipulate daily logs to ensure accurate placement of commercial spots.

Manage commercial inventory to maximize revenue opportunities.

Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure all log elements are accurate and complete.

Verify that logs conform to FCC regulations and standards.

Consistently report available commercial time to the Sales team.

Ensure the accurate placement of advertiser commercials on station logs, including downloading, coordinating, and scheduling local commercial materials for advertisers – both in advance and on the day of airtime.

Research and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Provide backup support to other employees in the traffic department.

Conduct monthly edits of the commercial roster to ensure relevant and required commercials are available for airing.

Utilize Wide Orbit software to perform essential job functions efficiently.

What You’re Bringing:

Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. Prior broadcast traffic experience on the Wide Orbit traffic system preferred.

Organizational Excellence: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high level of accuracy.

Interpersonal Skills & Professionalism: Communicate professionally with advertising agencies and station personnel across various departments.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team. Cross training is essential for this role to ensure seamless operations and support within the traffic department. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards in all aspects of their work.

Availability: Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as needed. FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is a 24/7 operation.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $26.50-26.80 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
