Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, Coordinate, and oversee traffic control operationsCommunicate with your crew to keep everyone safe. Supervise and direct traffic control crews to ensure safe traffic flow.Inspect work zone to confirm proper placement of signs, barricades, and other traffic control devices to comply with state regulationsProviding outstanding service and protection to customers Protect the company’s employees, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices.Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging. Previous experience in an outdoor labor setting, i.e., Traffic Control, Landscaping, Manufacturing, Construction, Utilities, Military, or Skilled Operator3+ Years Traffic Control Experience / ATSSA CertificateTCT/TCS Certification PreferredTMA DriverAble to Read and Interpret BlueprintsOSHA 10/OSHA 30 PreferredFamiliarity with a client-based schedule Valid state driver's license Steel Toed or Composite Toed BootsComfortable standing 8-12 hours a day Ability to lift 50-60 lbs. The employee must be able to successfully manage the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
Hours of operation may vary based on staffing needs and workload. Majority of time will be in the field.The position may work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, not limited to heat, cold, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving vehicles, and occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. Noise levels in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Position may lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds. If necessary, in the field, stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions; employee lifts pushes, pulls, or carries objects.AWP considers any position that requires the individual to drive an AWP vehicle and/or be present at an AWP worksite for any reason a safety sensitive position.
