We are looking to hire a Traffic & Materials Planner Suppervisor t to join our team at El Marqués, Querétaro. 

What you can look forward to as Trafiic & Materials Planner:

Monitor inventory levels and review suppliers releases to prevent overstocking or running out of materials /Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve performance and reduce costs Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts /Communicates any issues or delays in shipments to impacted areas with corrective action plans and timings for resolution Keep strong communication with vendors under performing to receive a recovery plan to avoid any line impact / Analyze data to determine the need for restocking or replenishing inventory Daily critical components follow up to ensure that the necessary materials are obtained in a timely manner to meet production needs /Monitor and optimize transportation LT and costs for all shipments (ground, expedited, overseas, etc). Ensure transportation budget vs OP is met. Work with MPS variations/changes to ensure timely delivery of parts and advise internal customers of any potential risk. Escalate when needed to react accordingly /Develop and implement inventory control systems by maintaining updated planning parameters. Follow up to suppliers penalties and associated costs recoveries when applies. Establish actions plant to avoid repetitive issues /Responsible for Engineering Changes and New Programs follow up with his materials planners. Oversee the disposal of excess, obsolete, or damaged materials. Make charges to the responsible area. Analyze, define and achieve targets for Inventory Value, Regular and Premium Freight on a weekly and monthly basis /Monitor stock levels and analyze trends to identify opportunities for cost savings /Create a cross-training matrix to ensure backups are in place/Resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and effectively

 

Your profile as Traffic and Materials Planner Supervisor:

Bachelor’s degree - proficient english A minimum of two (2) years of work experience in a similar role (Automotive experience is a must) MRP system Knowledge ( QAD, SAP, etc)  Experience in Materials Planning and Traffic management. Knowledge of KanBan, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing Proficiency with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, MRP (QAD, SAP, etc), and other related applications Leadership experience is a must
