About this position The Trades Apprentice is valuable part of the Sulphur Housing Authority because of their function of work assisting the maintenance repairman in vacant unit turnover, performing a wide variety of unit maintenance and repair tasks with assistance. The Trades Apprentice provides an opportunity to learn the skills required for the Maintenance Repairman 1 position. This is an entry level position. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Assist Repairman 1 or 2 in the following: + Clean out units including haul furniture, wipe all counters and cabinets + Scrub appliances & fixtures, repair/replace if needed + Repair sheetrock where damaged + Repair/Install doors, windows & floor titles where needed + Install light fixtures & outlets if needed + Painting units Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Career Progression: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
