Job DescriptionThe Trader is responsible for the sourcing, buying, and selling of metals. This role requires a deep understanding of global metals markets, strong supplier and customer relationship management skills, and the ability to make timely, strategic trading decisions to maximize profitability and drive business growth.
What you're responsible for:
Developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and buyers for recycled metal materialSourcing materials domestically and/or internationally and negotiate terms of sale or purchaseEvaluating market trends and pricing indicators to develop trading strategies and optimize marginsExecuting trades with full ownership of pricing, logistics coordination, risk management, and complianceBuilding long-term relationships with scrap yards, smelters, brokers, and industrial end-usersCollaborating with logistics, operations, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of dealsMaintaining accurate records of trading activity and client interactions in CRM and ERP systemsPreparing and deliver internal reports on trade performance, margins, and market forecastsQualificationsTo join our team:
You have a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field (preferred)You have experience in commodities trading; experience with international trade and logistics is a plusYou have the ability to manage P&L, assess risk, and make high stakes trading decisionsYou have an understanding of commodity markets, pricing models, and supply chain logisticsYou have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.You are proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent)You have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as requiredAdditional InformationWhat we offer!
