MUFG continues to expand its footprint within Supply Chain Finance market via various product offerings. The financing solutions offered to our clients help improve access to liquidity, management of payment terms and working capital. The determination of MUFG to become a top tier provider in this space was reinforced when MUFG acquired proprietary trade payables software and is in the midst of robust integration activities. MUFG is looking to further expand the capabilities of the platform to increase revenue through buyer & supplier centric transactions as well as investor distribution channels.
Operations & Technology for the Americas (OTA) plays a major role in MUFG’s transformation to become the world’s most trusted financial group. Its colleagues specialize in process engineering, software development, enterprise information management, technology operations, operational risk management, and project management.
The Supply Chain Finance Operations team reports to the Head of Operations and plays a pivotal role in supporting the business expansion. The processes are undergoing continuous changes due to increased business requirements as well as various in-flight projects looking to provide solutions for scalability of the business. The operations team partners with various stakeholders within OTA such as: Business Information Technology, Business Solutions Team, Quality Center of Excellence and others to develop a sustainable operating model that best supports internal and external client needs.
Position Overview:
We are looking to hire an experienced Bank Operations Manager to oversee receivables and payables financing operations. You will be actively engaged, with a hands-on approach, in managing daily production and representing Operations interests in various strategic initiatives and projects pertaining to Supply Chain Finance. You will work closely with management and key stakeholders to ensure operational readiness in support of the business. The candidate will be required to manage others and perform the tasks of people’s manager. Some travel may be required.
This role is Hybrid and currently available in the following locations: Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC
In this role you wil be:
Responsible for the day – to -day management of the group and all activity related to servicing Supply Chain Finance and Receivable Financing transactions. Including but not limited to: recording of funded exposure on bank’s sub-ledger system(s), Supplier payments processing, Distribution of Assets servicing, re-payment funds application, settlement of exposure at maturity, reconciliation of account activity.Ensuring all transactions are executed within established SLA framework and that all RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) controls are followedPartner with our Risk and Compliance stakeholders to develop a sustainable and risk conscious operating model; promote awareness of any emerging risk(s), support risk-control testing and internal/external audits.Updating/Maintaining operational processes and procedures according to new product implementations and system changes, as appropriateAble to develop cross functional partnerships; inspire colleagues and staff; promote a high performing environment.Serving as main point of contact and escalation for operations pertaining to your area.Develop management reporting routines to keep leadership apprised of the progress, risk and issuesManager of people. Perform all managerial tasks, such as: development of staff, performance reviews, team and 1 on 1 meetings with staff; hiring new talent; administration of disciplinary actions.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree6+ years of experience in corporate banking operations with 3+ years in a management roleExperience in Traditional Trade, Supply Chain Financing, such as Receivables Financing and Buyer Led Supplier FinancingStrong understanding of corporate organization structure and proven record working with other teams and stakeholders to achieve goals and meet project deadlines.Ability to develop partnerships, strong interpersonal skills, deal with conflict in a professional manner, remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.Self-motivated with high degree of initiative, innovative thinker with the ability to derive, formulate and develop new concepts processes and value-added activitiesExcellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities and effectively work under pressurePositive team orientated attitudeMust have MS Office tools skills: Word, Excel, PowerPointThe typical base pay range for this role is between $122K– $143K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
