We are currently recruiting for a Trade Finance and Guarantee Specialist for our Operations Division in Amsterdam.

Your impact at MUFG
Process and issuance all types of bank guarantees and standby letters of credit including the composition of (complex) texts.
Processes trade finance transactions such documentary credits, documentary collections and discounting including amendments, acceptances and collections reimbursements.
Analyses potential risks associated with bank guarantees, standby letters of credit and trade finance transactions.
Prepares and records issuances, amendments and related trade finance correspondence for: bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary credits and documentary collections.
Serves as the primary contact to internal, external clients and Bank’s stakeholders regarding the status of transactions and operate as products specialist providing subject matter expertise where required.
Investigates and resolves customer inquiries.
Ensures compliance with bank policies, procedures and various regional government regulatory agencies and all rules and publications from the ICC (Uniform Customs and Practice (UCP), Uniform Rules of Collections (URC), International Standby Practices (ISP98), International Standard Banking Practice (ISBP) and Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees URDG 758)).
Assists in establishing, tracking and improving standard operating procedures based on workflow and environment review.
In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:
Degree (finance or other relevant field) or equivalent work experience equally preferable
Experience within a complex financial services environment providing trade finance servicing, structuring trade deals and supply chain finance, while directly engaging with customers
Working knowledge of financial products, accounting principles and compliance regulations
Knowledge of relevant regional bank policies, procedures and government regulatory agencies
Understanding of economic and political risks in international trade, e.g. exchange rate risk
Comprehensive understanding of commonly used trade financing reporting, reconciliation and audit mechanisms and tools
