Trade Credit Complex Claims Adjuster

What's the purpose of the role?

Covering the Trade Credit line of business, the Trade Credit Complex Claims Adjuster role is a key position responsible for supporting and delivering the Trade Credit Claims proposition within AIG UK and AIG Europe S.A. (AESA). This is an important market-facing role which serves as the primary adjuster for some of AIG UK Trade Credit’s most valuable clients and broker partners, as well as a key point of engagement for vendors and various other stakeholders within the business. The role also demands strong collaboration with the Claims team, Trade Credit Underwriting team and other stakeholders to deliver a consistent, efficient, and customer-centric Trade Credit claims proposition.

How you'll make an impact

Manage claims enquiries, coverage determination, analyse quantum and legal liability assessment, within authority limits and providing a consistently high standard of customer service.Demonstrate a high standard of technical claims competence. Ensuring financial discipline and control through accurate and consistent reserving.Accurate and consistent policy interpretation against claims.Ensure effective vendor and litigation management on all claims within your claims allocation.Effective communication with Brokers, clients and other stakeholders including debt recovery specialists and consultants.Strive for continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support through our Quality Assurance Review processes.Broad internal / external stakeholder communication where required.Contribute to maintenance and compliance with the Global Credit Lines Claims best practice procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
 

Good specialist knowledge in credit insurance (claims and/or underwriting), credit risk management and/or law. Strong insurance claims knowledge from other classes of business will also be considered.Good English language skills to enable accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.A strong knowledge of legal, regulatory, litigation and procedural requirements for their line of business.Proven time management skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workload and diary management.Experience in managing, negotiating and mediating claims files from triage through to settlement and recovery
