At home Global logistics team is seeking a motivated individual to join our company as trade Compliance analyst to join our company as a Trade Compliance Analyst to support global trade operations and ensure regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Trade Compliance Manager, this role will assist with classification, documentation, audits, and internal controls for import compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as primary point-of-contact for custom broker. Such communication includes but is not limited to: Confirmation of required information (Review and validate import documentation including invoices, COOs, FTA confirmation, HTS value)
- Monitor U.S. and international trade regulations to support ongoing compliance.
- Perform restricted party screening and escalation procedures.
- Maintain and update compliance databases and documentation records.
- Assist in audits, both internal and external, including record retrieval and issue resolution.
- Support supplier issues from a compliance perspective, including document collection and screening.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, sourcing and legal teams
- Work closely with custom brokers, freight forwarders, vendors, to facilitate efficient and compliant international trade transactions.
-Manage and maintain recordkeeping of import documentation any associated authorizations or licenses required to pursue business objectives and goals.
Required Skills:
HTS & ECCN Classification: Working knowledge of tariff codes, general rules of interpretation, and U.S. export control categories.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key U.S. trade laws and programs (e.g., , Section 301, USMCA, UFLPA).Documentation Review: Ability to validate commercial invoices, packing lists, and country of origin declarations for accuracy and compliance.Screening & Licensing: Understanding of restricted party screening processes and the basics of export licensing.Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to research classification rulings, and interpret regulatory changes.System Experience: Comfortable working with freight forwarder systems, trade compliance tools and Excel/Google Sheets.Communication: Clear and concise communicator, capable of explaining trade rules to non-experts across departments.Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.Education and Experience
2–3 years of experience in trade compliance, import operations, or customs classification.Knowledge of HTS classification, trade laws, regulations and compliance requirements or working with a compliance team is strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.Experience supporting a U.S.-based importerExposure to Free Trade Agreements, valuation principles, or customs audits.Trade Compliance certifications or licenses a plus ( CCS) or (LCB)
