Trade Bespoke Documentation Specialist

Join Barclays’ Trade Bespoke Documentation Team as a Trade Bespoke Documentation Specialist supporting the creation of tailored trade-related facility letters and security documents for Global Corporates and Financial Institutions.

Accountabilities:

Draft and negotiate bespoke facility letters, amendments, master agreements under legal guidance.Provide expert documentation advice, ensuring compliance with credit sanctions and conditions.Collaborate with global teams to deliver innovative, non-standard trade finance and working capital solutions.


What We’re Looking For:

Knowledge of documentary trade finance products (e.g., Letters of Credit, Bonds Guarantees and Indemnities (BGI’s), Trade Loans).Knowledge of open account products (e.g., Asset-Based Lending (ABL), Confidential Invoice Discounting (CID), Selective Debtor Finance, Selective Receivables Finance (SRF), Silent Payment Undertakings, and Supplier Finance)Exceptional attention to detail, relationship management, and IT skills.Experience in documentation review.


Advantageous: Legal knowledge or experience with legal contracts.

This role is based in London.

Purpose of the role

To establish and nurture profitable partnerships with both corporate and SME clients with regards the Sales Finance Working Capital solution, bridging the bank's offerings and clients' needs, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term success. 

Accountabilities

Management of client relationships to identify the client's financial goals, challenges, and risk tolerance to support growth, to help identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement to support client needs.Research and understanding of the client's industry trends, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment to inform strategic recommendations.Management of the clients Sales Finance facility and servicing to ensure balance between Credit Risk and returns.Communication of the value proposition of proposed solutions, justification of recommendations, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.Provision of guidance to clients to support their financial decisions, offering expert product advice to ensure a positive and continuous relationship.Assessment of financial, legal, credit and operational risks associated with client relationships, and implementation of measures to minimise potential losses.Documentation of all client interactions, transactions, and agreements to ensure transparency and auditability, and communicate findings effectively to support product development, service offerings, and the overall bank strategy.Monitoring of client satisfaction, revenue generated, and other relevant metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management efforts.
