Role Purpose (Summary of position)
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) Lead for Data Platform & Insights Services plays an integral role in the successful delivery, support, and compliance of the product such that our clients/customers are delighted. The TPM Lead is a systems thinker who ensures planning, alignment, and follow-through with excellent communication skills. They drive continual improvement while also promoting a good work culture that includes accountability and transparency.
The TPM Lead maximizes delivery of our forecast for every sprint and every release.
They keep track of technical changes that may need to be included in the next release. They ensure the teams are working on the right things so that Data Platform meets its longer term OKRs and releases monthly, with the hopes of every sprint.
The TPM Lead often also works on special initiatives and drives them to successful completion or ongoing practice.
You will be responsible for:
Owning the health and success of the Project and software releases including support issues.
Building strong relationships with Data Analytics & Research LT to influence prioritization, align chapter OKRs, and drive successful execution
Collaborating and negotiating with Program Leaders to steer program strategy, shape roadmaps, and secure resource commitment.
Leading a global community of TPMs to streamline cross-functional process improvements
Improving predictability by driving operational efficiencies in processes, WoW, and tools in order to enhance software delivery.
Defining support framework and handling customer issues for multiple data platform sub-systems.
Leveraging Telemetry Dashboards to proactively monitor, analyze, and remediate challenges and infra costs faced by the Chapter and Teams
Representing Engineering in regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Delivering and/or contributing to formal documentation as required by QMS.
Staying updated with industry trends and advancements in engineering practices and promoting their adoption within the team.
Leadership Skills:
You will lead and inspire a global community of TPMs within the DPIS Chapter, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
You will drive the TPM community to develop cutting-edge solutions and champion their adoption and prioritization across the organization to deliver impactful business outcomes.
You will ensure that customer-centric solutions remain at the forefront of Data Platform & Insights Services and deliver its optimal contribution to the Roche Diagnostics Vision.
Your profile
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Professional experience/duration: At least 10 years of professional progressive experience in software development and delivery, with a focus on leading and managing software engineering teams
Specialist knowledge:
Healthcare Domain(Lab, Payor, Provider) experience is Strongly preferred
Experience in managing the software processes associated with Software as a Medical Device is preferred
Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices, with experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Excellent communication skills, specifically, clearly conveying complex technical information in written reports and presentations
Experience with tools and frameworks for continuous integration and continuous deployment is a plus
Locations
You will be based in Pune, India or San Cugat/Barcelona. At the Company's discretion, an exception to the location requirement could be made under extraordinary circumstances.
As this position is a global role, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.
