TPA Services Consultant

The Consultant, TPA Services plays a meaningful role in supporting Manulife John Hancock’s mission to be the provider of choice for Third Party Administrators (TPAs). As part of the Strategic Partnerships team, this role focuses on supporting the TPA Services group and strengthening relationships with TPAs by demonstrating deep industry knowledge and driving initiatives that improve collaboration, efficiency, and growth.

Responsibilities:

Individual Contributions

Program Development & Execution:

Design and implement TPA-specific programs that support marketing efforts, improve operational efficiency, and enhance staff education—reinforcing positive relationships with John Hancock.

TPA Advocacy & Project Leadership:

Represent TPA interests in cross-functional projects by:

Creating business cases and requirements

Identifying and resolving complex issues

Leading user acceptance testing

Delivering training on new products via webcasts, presentations, and guides

Marketing Collaboration:

Partner with Marketing to develop and maintain communication tools and promotional materials that support TPA programs.

Brand Representation:

May represent Manulife John Hancock at regional and national TPA meetings and industry conferences to elevate brand visibility and thought leadership.


Shared Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Strategic Partnerships and team members on key projects and during absences.

Contribute to team initiatives aimed at improving TPA programs and services.


Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience

Preferred 5 years in a TPA firm or qualified retirement plan environment

Dedication to acquire a NIPA or ASPPA designation

Solid understanding of qualified plan rules and regulations (ERISA, etc.)

Deep understanding of TPA business models, distribution channels, and systems

Skills:

Proven project management and analytical skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Salary range is expected to be between

$90,225.00 USD - $162,405.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
