Position Summary:Help drive program value and meet revenue targets by supporting TP supplier team.
The position will require daily interaction with TP suppliers to establish, maintain, and improve supplier relationships, agreeing favorable pricing, drive profitability, and support operational projects. These projects include but are not limited to pricing, bulk item additions, item maintenance, backlog reduction, and order fulfillment improvements.
Key Responsibilities:Research suppliers, analyze competitors' products to grasp market dynamics, evaluate opportunities, and make informed decisions for customer and company benefit.Prepare, coordinate, and analyze supplier information to aid in supplier discussions, and business reviews.Present our value proposition to suppliersNegotiate new or improved discounted pricing with designated suppliers to achieve margin and sales improvement targetsHandle overall product lifecycle for TPP portfolios as assignedComplete price roll tasks, in collaboration with the broader Third Party team, including the Pricing and Reporting AnalystsAssist the TP team by offering technical advice on products and pricing to help convert customer orders.Connect with TP colleagues and Sales Teams to find key product ranges needing preferential terms for Fisher Scientific to offer cost-saving opportunities.Work with specified suppliers to ensure that price, product quality, and service requirements are met in a timely fashionCollaborate with suppliers on new bulk item creations, including the completion and submission of new product templatesWork proactively with our product compliance team to ensure all required compliance criteria are met during the bulk item creation processLiaise with suppliers to assist in resolving issues or concernsWork well with internal groups such as Portfolio Management, Regulatory, Finance, IT, etc., as neededAttend trade shows and visit supplier locations as the need arisesSupport other requests as assignedMinimum Requirements/Qualifications:Knowledge
Proven experience or Bachelor’s Degree in an equivalentExperienceProven customer service or supplier negotiation experienceStrong technical skills, including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and CognosFamiliarity with data formats and data-manipulation techniquesProficienciesFacility to work under tight deadlines and demonstrate flexibility with prioritiesStrong data and analytical capabilitiesEffective interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with strong analytical, presentation, and liaison skillsAbility to work independently as well as efficiently in a team environmentAbility to learn new technologies and self-train when appropriateExcellent negotiation skillsProven organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention-to-detailMaintain a detailed understanding of local processes and procedures needed to complete the roleBi-lingual dependent on countries being supportedPersonal AttributesStrong desire to serve the customer
