Role Objective:

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Tour Settlements Officer (Assistant Accountant) to join our Finance team on an 8-month fixed-term contract. Sitting at the heart of the touring business, this role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth financial operations of concerts and tours across Australia and New Zealand.

 

Working closely with Tour Directors and Promoters, you'll be responsible for managing invoices, coordinating settlements, preparing royalty submissions, and maintaining compliance with internal processes. Your keen eye for detail and knack for financial accuracy will help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

What you’ll be doing: 

Tour financial support: Ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations across concert and tour settlements.Invoice and coding management: Process event-related invoices and accurately code to the general ledger.Cash handling coordination: Organise floats with banks and reconcile venue settlements.Compliance & audit: Maintain financial documentation and prepare end-of-tour audit checklists.Journal entry preparation: Load and review all relevant journals in Oracle for each tour.Royalty administration: Prepare APRA/PPCA submissions for Tour Director approval.Process improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in settlement and finance workflows.General finance support: Assist the broader finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

 

What we’re looking for:

Strong communicator: You’re a confident, collaborative team player who works well with multiple stakeholders.Deadline-driven: Able to manage competing priorities and meet tight timeframes with ease.Detail-oriented: You spot inconsistencies and take pride in accurate, high-quality work.Tech confident: Skilled in Excel and Outlook, and quick to pick up new systems.Finance savvy: Prior experience in finance or accounting roles, ideally in a fast-paced environment.Solutions focused: Always looking for ways to improve and simplify processes.Highly regarded: Experience with Oracle, knowledge of APRA/PPCA, or prior work in touring/event finance.
