In this role you will contribute to Starbucks success by maximizing business value by proactively ensuring compliance and enhancing operational health of payroll systems. You will be leading cross functional teams, leading change plans for complex issues, drives workstreams and supporting a diverse range of payroll programs for Starbucks partners.
As a total pay operations analyst lead, you will…
Champions and leads cross-functional teams to recommend and implement systematic updates to key payroll/tax policies
Proactively identifies gaps, gains alignment, and leads cross- functional teams
Advises and influences organization on payroll matters
We’d love to hear from people with:
Multi-state/Provincial full cycle payroll processing, including time entry to general ledger entry
Strong skills in payroll systems (specifically SAP), accounting systems (specifically Oracle), Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and other software which has an interface to SAP (Kronos, etc.)
Foundational understanding of payroll including garnishments, bonus payments, special payments and payroll taxes for US and Canada
Knowledge of system development life-cycle
Excellent project management and process improvement skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
Ability to convey complicated information in a logical manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Training, facilitation and presentation skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Minimum of 8 years of experience with SAP and other rewards databases and systems support
Minimum of 8 years of experience with business requirements documentation
Minimum of 5 years of experience with test script development and end-user testing
Minimum of 5 years of experience with End-user support and training
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing internal and external relationships
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
