Job Description
The Total Contracting (TCON) Compliance Excellence Manager is a key role serving as a subject matter expert and project manager responsible for monitoring GCSO’s compliance and the effectiveness of the system and processes related to Health Care Compliance (HCC)-sensitive external engagements. This role involves ensuring ongoing process and systems improvement, training, documentation and monitoring. It requires close collaboration with HCC, the Standards Execution Excellence team, business owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes and strategic direction, thereby supporting high standards of compliance and operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
The TCON Compliance Excellence Manager will:
+ Collaboratively monitor process compliance according to predefined criteria, identifying improvement areas and ensuring alignment with compliance standards
+ Identify opportunities to improve the compliance monitoring process, suggest solutions with process changes and/or new technology and oversee implementation of approved plans
+ Establish relationships with business owners and other stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and support related to applicable systems and processes
+ Connect with other GCSO related enterprise initiatives to ensure alignment, assess impact, and identify appropriate resources for implementation in GCSO
+ Support change management and communication efforts
+ Conduct ongoing reviews of current processes, training materials, metrics, and findings to identify areas of opportunity
+ Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans as needed to address identified issues or opportunities for process improvement
+ Review, assess, and update applicable system training and guidance materials
Qualifications
Education
+ At minimum, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, pharmaceutical, healthcare administration or relevant field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management, compliance, or related disciplines are a plus.
Knowledge
+ Demonstrated understanding of healthcare compliance systems, processes, and regulations within the life sciences, pharmaceutical or biotech industries.
+ Familiarity with HCP engagement technology/systems for managing engagement approvals, contracting, and payments documentation (experience with J&J’s HCC system or similar is preferred).
+ Comprehensive knowledge of the Anti-kickback statute, Sunshine Act Reporting, and other compliance frameworks governing HCP interactions.
+ Experience developing or maintaining procedural documents, training materials, and supporting compliance initiatives within a regulated environment.
Skills and Experience
+ Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry, particularly within Medical Affairs, or Compliance roles
+ Strong communication skills, ideally in a leadership environment
+ Deep understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
+ Proven experience with HCC Systems and processes
+ Excellent documentation and recordkeeping abilities
+ Attention to detail
+ Analytical mindset with ability to assess processes and identify gaps
+ Exceptional collaboration skills, able to work effectively with compliance, medical affairs, operations, and leadership teams
+ Skilled in managing multiple projects, supporting process improvements, and guiding change in regulated environments
+ Experience working with external vendors, third-party intermediaries (TPIs), and cross-functional stakeholders
+ Strong training development and delivery skills for internal teams and external vendors
