Job Responsibilities:
Engineering Management:
To deliver FPSO Topsides and/or Marine engineering and design within budget, schedule and quality
Leadership:
Provide leading and cultivating high performance Engineering organization delivering consistent engineering design of FPSO.
Setup of all Engineering & Design Systems & Management of change:
- A robust engineering execution platform for delivery of Detailed Engineering meeting all contractual requirements.
- Implementation of engineering change management for the engineering post design freeze in all disciplines including communication, tracking and approval by the relevant stakeholders
Compliance & Communication:
- Compliance with Company standards, Client Standards, Class Society rules, regulatory requirements, Codes and Standards and Company code of conduct.
- Conduct engineering meetings internally with sub-contractors, with Client and with other external agencies, prepare minutes of meetings and engineering progress report.
People Management and Engineering Budget:
- Motivate the Engineering team and Sub-contractor team to perform, provide performance feedback, forecast and mange engineering resources on the project.
- Develop Engineering manning plan, engineering software budget, third party study budget, approve topsides engineering related variation orders from subcontractors and suppliers.
Engineering Resources and Problem Solving:
- Lead in forecasting, mobilizing and demobilizing engineering and design resources for the project.
- Lead in developing solutions to complex problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data. Shall be capable of interfacing with Clients on problem solving.
Health, Safety & Quality & Engineering Reviews:
- Ensure identification and integration of Safety and Quality requirements in the Design to ensure safe operability and maintainability. Be the engineering representative for any quality issues or NCRs raised during System audits on engineering team.
- Ensure all applicable Engineering Reviews of the project are conducted and closed out in a timely manner
Decision Making and Engineering Knowledge:
- Make timely engineering decision in case multiple valid solutions to challenges are generated, based on sound engineering practice and project objectives.
- To be adequately familiar with the key activities and needs of all the engineering disciplines and how these activities interact and are sequenced, and their implications.
Dispute Resolution & Risk Assessment:
- To be able to provide leadership in resolving disputes among numerous stakeholders who may have different focus and priorities, both internal and external.
- Lead Engineering Risk Assessment in the project and ensure close out of the actions.

Job Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s) or MS degree plus minimum 15 years relevant experience. Diploma holders having 20 -yrs experience with additional qualification/ Certificate (making the equivalent to degree) can also be considered. Must have a minimum 1 Full Cycle FPSO experience is necessary. Ability to communicate with construction sites and commissioning team on technical requirements and manage technical queries and changes. Client management skills. Adequate knowledge of all the interfaces between Topside and Marine Engineering, facilities/systems of FPSO with specific attention to his discipline, and working of all Process, Mechanical, Piping, Structure, Electrical & Telecom, Instrumentation and Marine engineering. Knowledge of sequencing of engineering activities. Capability to review engineering deliverables of various disciplines and knowledge of the types of documents to be generated by each engineering department and the inputs involved. Capable of defining design concepts during initial phase of the project considering HSE, constructability operability and maintainability. Familiarity with standards applicable to engineering disciplines and awareness of class, industry, statutory and regulatory requirements. Ability to organize meetings and liaise with class and client team to resolve issues. Should understand FPSO design from Operability & Maintenance perspective. Should possess basic understanding of Field Operating condition (i.e. Pre-salt, H2S, etc.). Must understand and interpret total Project life-cycle cost & benefit, as well as their implications during FEED & EPC phase planning & design. Must possess good communication and leadership skills. Shows evidence of good organization skills.
