Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking a Cybersecurity Assessor, your daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive cybersecurity assessments, audits, and inspections for DoD organizations and partners handling DoD information or connecting to the DoDIN. You evaluate systems and Defensive Cyberspace Operations using cyber threat emulation and performance-based testing, adhering to established policies and processes for each assessment type. Supporting assessment development and execution, you ensure security expertise is properly applied while coordinating logistics, test plans, and scope with the SCA Team Lead. You perform vulnerability assessments, capturing results using STIG Viewer or designated tools, and document findings in eMASS. Analyzing security gaps, you provide mitigation recommendations and validate cybersecurity controls, TTPs, STIGs, RMF controls, and compliance with DoD policies and guidelines. Additionally, you offer risk analysis and assessment results for authorization recommendations and participate in daily assessment reviews, in-briefs, and out-briefs, sharing findings with the SCA-R.
$50,000 to $67,000 per year annual salary. Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements
Active DOD Top Secret
Bachelors degree in a related field
3 years of overall experience in an DoD IT field
IAT Level II Certification, or the ability to acquire within 90 days
Familiarity with STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), Security Requirement Guides (SRGs), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and cybersecurity best practices
Understanding of the RMF process, NIST SP 800- 37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253
Familiarity with relevant tools such as eMASS, STIG Viewer, Nessus, ACAS, SCAP, or HBSS null
