The Tooling Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, teardown, inspection, quoting, repair, testing, and maintenance of all PCC tooling lines (Cherry/Permaswage)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Inspects tooling and equipment for proper performance. Read and interpret parts, service, and operation manuals. Rebuild, Repair/Replace defective parts components or systems according to scopes of work. Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify function, machine capabilities, or conformance to customer specifications. Maintains the functioning of all shop equipment and report any problems or substandard condition to the supervisor. Ensure all Service records are maintained according to standard operating procedures. Coordinate the quoting and logistics of tool orders and tooling repairs with internal and external individuals. Monitor the progress of open TRO’s (Tool Repair Orders) and advise status to customers on a regular basis. Inventory analysis and recommendations on inventory position. Product identification and capturing customer requirements. Proactive, business orientated communication with customers, suppliers, and coworkers. Order entry and acknowledgement of purchase orders. Processing / packaging / shipping Tool Orders. Quality Inspection of incoming orders.
Work Experience / Education Requirements:
Hold a high school degree or GED Vo-Tech Training a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints, drawings, schematics Distinctive communication skills and a high team spirit English fluency in both speaking and writing is necessary
