Your Role at Delta Faucet

Join us as a Tooling Engineer and play a pivotal role in turning concepts into reality in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. As a Tooling Engineer, you'll be the liaison connecting New Product Development (NPD) and Operations, ensuring that parts are manufacturable, cost-effective, and ready for production. You'll design and optimize tooling, develop fixtures and machining processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

Create, design, and maintain drawings for tooling and fixtures used in operations.Program and optimize CNC machines (primarily 3- to 5-axis) with advanced CAM software like CNC ESPRIT.Develop machining strategies for prototype and production builds, including fixture and cutting tool selection.Collaborate with New Product Development (NPD) teams on action items from 3P events, pilot builds, and PPAP validation.Conduct make/buy analyses to determine optimal sourcing strategies for machined components.Partner with Operations to troubleshoot production issues, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.Lead value engineering initiatives to minimize costs while maintaining product quality.Define equipment specifications and requirements for machinery acquisition and startup.Work with suppliers on feasibility studies, safety assessments, and design reviews.Support ongoing continuous improvement efforts in safety, ergonomics, and machining performance optimization.Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.Use hands to manipulate and operate hand tools and power tools.Able to bend, reach, twist and carry above shoulder / below waist level.Able to stand and walk throughout shift, with breaks.Able and willing to support all shifts as required.Able and willing to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field and 5+ years of related experience in machining-focused environments. Equivalent experience and education in lieu of degree will be considered.CNC programming experienceExpertise in CAM software (e.g., CNC ESPRIT, Mastercam, Siemens NX, Fusion 360) and G-code programming.Strong knowledge of GD&T, machining tolerances, and working with various materials.Demonstrated success launching new products and supporting ongoing production.Experience in decision-making processes for make/buy analysis and supplier collaboration.A hands-on, detail-oriented approach to CNC programming and tooling design.Problem-solving skills that drive process improvements and reduce production waste.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.A commitment to personal growth and development.Initiative and professionalism in everything you do.Proficiency in 3D modeling and fixture/tooling design (CREO preferred).Background in machining automation, Industry 4.0 tools, or in-process probing (preferred).Familiarity with high-mix/high-volume manufacturing or job shop environments (preferred).
