The Tool Maker / Technician will analyze specifications, set up and operates machine tools, fits and assemble parts to fabricate components for cutting-edge custom automated manufacturing equipment. Equipment includes machined components, fabricated parts, and purchased parts such as: robotics, vision systems, pick & place mechanisms, feeders, indexing dials, conveyors, custom drill/tap heads, and custom tooling.
What will help you thrive in this role? High School Diploma or GED equivalent Prefer four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. But the right candidate with less experience may be considered. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to supply concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
