Tool Distribution & Asset Lead
**Description** **Sunnyvale, TX** **POSITION OVERVIEW** The Tool & Asset Lead reports to the Asset Coordinator and is responsible for overseeing the company’s tool inventory, including but not limited to the distribution & recovery of tools between active projects and the central warehouse, and maintaining the integrity/condition of company tools. This individual ensures that all serialized tools are tracked, maintained, repaired, and distributed effectively using company provided software. The role also includes coordinating the acquisition of tools, parts, and pieces with Purchasing and Prefab, serializing new items as they are added to the inventory, and maintaining vendor relationships. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned. •Inventory Management & Distribution •Maintain real-time visibility of all serialized tools using Tool Watch or other company provided tracking software. •Ensure timely delivery and retrieval of tools to/from job sites. •Manage all deliveries at the shop and verify them for accuracy. Store deliveries in designated areas. •Assist shop driver with loading and unloading tools onto truck. •Coordinate tool deliveries and returns with warehouse manager and foreman. •Monitor tool usage, location, and condition and report any suspicious activity to the Asset Coordinator. •Ensure tools are organized to allow for quick access and accurate tracking. **TOOL WATCH SOFTWARE OVERSIGHT** •Perform ongoing optimization and usage of Tool Watch and/or other company provided software for the purposes of tool management. •Regularly check for tool requests and returns throughout the day. •Ensure accurate tool transfers and returns. •Conduct audits to verify Tool Watch data accuracy and reconcile with physical tool counts. **TEAM LEADERSHIP & OVERSIGHT** •Enforce accountability for tool crib performance at shop. •Provide training for tool distribution and returns from job sites along with tool functionality. •Promote and uphold safety standards in the shop for both self and support staff. •Calibration - Prevent lapses in tool calibration dates to ensure all job sites have timely access to calibrated tools. •Ensure all information involving calibrated tools are properly documented in Tool Watch. **PROCUREMENT & VENDOR MANAGEMENT** •Maintain appropriate stock levels of serialized tools through consistent restocking and tool replacement. •Analyze purchasing trends to develop cost-saving strategies **PROJECT SUPPORT & FORECASTING** •Attend pre-construction and planning meetings to forecast project-specific tool needs. •Coordinate closely with superintendents and foremen to align tool availability with schedule demands. •Recommend tool upgrades or alternatives based on jobsite performance or wear trends. •Investigate and document instances of tool loss, damage, or misuse. •All other duties as assigned. **REQUIREMENTS** •High initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment •Effectively handle stressful situations and meet deadline pressures •Strong communication skills •Detail-oriented •Familiarity and experience with Electrical tools and equipment; •Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Office; •High School Diploma or GED; •Have and maintain a valid driver’s license; •Have dependable transportation; •Have an excellent attitude towards safety and firm adherence to safety protocols; Company operatingpolicies, procedures, OSHA, and safety programs as established. **NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** •Maintain positive relationships with peers and customers •Collaborate with estimators, preconstruction and engineering teams •Identify opportunities for process improvements •Recommend solutions that enhance safety and productivity, reduce costs, shorten schedules, and strengthen owner/Client relationships **OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES** •Must demonstrate integrity, honesty, and professionalism •Must work well in a team/crew environment. •Exhibit willingness to learn and improve organizational skills •Demonstrates effective time management •Maintain a positive attitude •Motivate others through example and engagement •Must demonstrate commitment to company values. **LANGUAGE SKILLS** Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of management. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
