Job Description:
The Tool Crib Coordinator will work daily to ensure a well-managed tool crib, ensuring that the right tools are available when and where they are needed, proper tool storage and maintenance, and effective inventory management and tracking. In addition, the Tool Crib Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role must follow all safety guidelines and requirements to maintain an accident-free workplace.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate records of tools, equipment, and supplies, conducting regular inventory checks, and ordering new items as needed.Organization and Storage: Ensuring the tool crib is organized, clean, and secure, with tools properly labeled and stored.Distribution: Issuing tools and equipment to authorized personnel, tracking their usage, and ensuring their timely return.Maintenance and Repair: Inspecting tools for damage or wear, reporting issues, and coordinating repairs or replacements.Safety: Implementing and enforcing safety protocols related to tool usage and storage.Training: Providing training to employees on proper tool usage and safety procedures.Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of tool inventory, usage, and maintenance.Vendor Relations: Working with vendors to ensure timely delivery of tools and supplies.Process Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement in tool crib operations and implementing best practices.Displays and demonstrates our Servant Leadership Values: Patient, Kind, Humble, Respectful, Selfless, Forgiving, Honest and Committed.Exhibit an exemplary sense of urgency and discipline in meeting the needs of customers (Internal and external)Set the pace by expectation and exampleThis position requires close collaboration with the shop floor with both verbal & written communicationWork in full compliance with safety regulationsBe forthcoming with process improvement efforts and display a “make this better” attitudeEnsures that the tool crib is clean and maintained at all timesOther duties as assignedRequirements:
High School diploma or GEDUnderstanding of KANBAN organization systemOrganizational skills: The ability to keep track of inventory and maintain a clean and organized tool crib.Attention to detail: The ability to accurately record tool inventory and identify potential issues.Communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with employees and vendors.Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and resolve issues related to tool inventory and maintenance.Knowledge of tools and equipment: Familiarity with the types of tools and equipment used in the organization such as power and pneumatic tools, drills, and saws.
