Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer – Performance with expertise in troubleshooting performance-related issues in enterprise storage environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of ONTAP architecture, performance tuning, and advanced troubleshooting techniques. This role is part of our Level 2 Support team, responsible for diagnosing, analysing, and resolving performance-related incidents while providing excellent customer service to enterprise clients.
Job Requirements experience in technical support, systems administration or related roles. In-depth knowledge of storage protocols such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS/SMB, and how they relate to system performance. Proven experience in troubleshooting performance issues in enterprise storage systems. Strong understanding of NetApp ONTAP architecture, including cluster mode, data fabric, and NFS/CIFS protocols. Familiarity with performance analysis tools like Perfstat, Performance Manager, and AutoSupport. Ability to read and analyze logs, traces, and performance metrics to diagnose issues. Basic networking knowledge to assist with performance issues caused by network congestion or misconfiguration. NetApp Certified Support Engineer (NCSE) or other relevant storage certifications are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance-related troubleshooting and RCA. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Education B.E/B. Tech or M.S in Computer Science or related technical field 4- 8 years of experience in technical support
