The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for delivering Custody Services to private clients, institutional investors, and partners both internal and external to Scotiabank. The incumbent is client-centric with a strong proactive approach to managing relationships, acting as the first point of contact in the provision of account administration, portfolio reporting, and problem resolution and providing a senior level of support and expertise to a team of Account Managers and Account Associates.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

Provide a best in class, proactive and personalized client experience to clients and firms engaged in asset management Provide timely and accurate account administration Identify and participate in new business opportunities, along with the Market Lead and Director, and coordinate, present and implement services for complex and high value clients Coordinate new account openings and review and set-up client files in a timely and accurate manner, collecting and validating client documentation and AML/KYC materials. Proactively liaise with internal support groups to investigate and resolve issues, and escalate and refer matters to other resources where appropriate Lead a team of Account Associates and oversee / approve deposits, contributions, withdrawals, forex, and other client entries with a high degree of accuracy in accordance with policies, procedures and best practices

Post-secondary degree or diploma 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry 2 years of People leader experience  Strong end-user computer skills Effective communication skills both written and verbal An entrepreneurial spirit with a proven ability to lead a team that represents the business in delivering a proactive and responsive client experience Demonstrated product expertise, personal integrity, and an ability to respond to stated and unstated client needs and concerns
