Title: Director, Infrastructure, Controls and Programmes, Compliance, Europe – London based

 

Position & Team Overview/Highlights:

 

Contributes to the overall success of the Compliance function in Europe, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Leads and oversees the following areas of the Compliance programme as well as Compliance Transformation activities:

Europe Control Room (together with Global Control Room) Europe Corporate Functions Oversight, around the Regulatory Compliance Management Programmes established by Europe Corporate Functions, including the 2AO CRCA process

 

Europe Conduct and Culture Framework (together with Enterprise Programmes)

The incumbent will ensure that compliance obligations are met by fostering satisfactory relationships with regulatory authorities (including regulators, exchanges and trade associations) and partnering with business line management and support functions in Europe, Canada, the U.S. and other locations. 

 

 

 

What You’ll Bring:

Experience: relevant Compliance experience along with operating in a complex, global bank. UK, Ireland, European and other relevant legislation and regulatory developments. Support Compliance with all aspects of the implementation of regulatory change initiatives for areas of accountability. The incumbent must be a very strong leader, with demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams. Advanced knowledge and understanding of the securities and banking industry. Knowledge of securities/banking rules, regulations, by-laws, policies and procedures.
