Structural Heart Business Mission: _Why We Exist_ Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease. As the Tissue Valve Trainer, you'll get the chance to be responsible for the coordination, implementation, and execution of training systems; including the development and innovation of training programs to support manufacturing and peripheral groups. You'll coordinate the ongoing and recurring system training of manufacturing assistants. **What You’ll Work On** + Reportstothe Production Supervisorandisresponsibleforassembling, training, andleading a smallteamtoassembleanimaltissue (porcineand/orbovine) heartvalve, inaccordancewithapprovedmanufacturingandqualityinspectionprocedures + Use existing MP’s and IP’s to train Tissue Valve Specialists one-on-one to meet specific certification requirements + Train their team to make sure production goals/metrics are met and will work with Supervisors, Engineers, and Managers to resolve line issues and implement improvements + WillworkdirectlywithEngineerstoupdateMP’sandIP’s + Document requiredtrainingandcertificationofteamtoensuretimelycompletion + Utilize the computertoemailproductioncommunications, printoutprocesses, andinputdatainto Excel + Participateinperformanceassessmentsbyreportingontheirskilldevelopmentandteamworkabilities + Ensurecertification, recertification, andtrainingneedsarecompletedbyteamandreportgapsto Manufacturing Supervisorsand/orTraining Administration Team + Willperformmonthlylineauditstoensurecomplianceforauditpreparednessandtomonitorprocesscomplaints + Solvescomplexproblemsrequiringextensiveinterpretationofproceduresandpracticestoprovideleadershipinevolvingprojects + Selectsmethodsandpracticestosolveproblemsusingingenuity, creativity, and a highdegreeofindependentactionandinitiative + Assist withinterviewingofpotentialtissuevalvespecialistcandidates + Assist with New EmployeeOrientationandassociatedtraining + 50% buildofproduct + Assessyieldimprovements + Complete an additionalAbbott-SponsoredCoursedeterminedbySupervisor **Required Qualifications** + High school diploma / GED or equivalentcombinationofeducationandworkexperience + Minimum 4 years of related experiencewithassembly, manufacturing, sewingexperienceofvalves/tissue + Basic computer proficiency **Preferred Qualifications** + Medical device experience + Tissue valve background + Group or team lead experience Apply Now (https://www.jobs.abbott/us/en) * Participants who complete a short wellness assessment qualify for FREE coverage in our HIP PPO medical plan.
