The Tissue Processing Technician will carry out manufacturing practices in a cGMP biotechnical facility. The position entails the manual processing of porcine urinary bladders, which includes all aspects from collections of raw materials to packaging of the final product. Following training, work will be expected to be performed independently to a high degree of standard in biomaterial handling, at all times following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Tissue Processing Technician I is the entry level into the Tissue Processing Technician job group.
This role is a Monday to Thursday role with 10 hour Shifts from 6:30am to 5:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collection of raw materialsRinse and initial cleaning of raw materials upon receiptSeparation and removal of unwanted tissuesDisinfectionPreparation of storage and cleaning solutionsDocument and track materials and solutionsProcess raw materials for final product including, but not limited to cutting/trimming to size, lyophilizing, and packagingPerform inspections during processing as called for in SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).Build, cut, package and label devicesCross-train and perform duties as needed in different process areas (clean rooms, raw materials etc.)Make suggestions that would improve the work environment or material processingKeep track of when supplies become low or need to be purchasedPerform other tasks as neededDESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
